Wanted to share with you that I was able to use some of the tools you made us aware of and I found someone's family for them. One of my friends never knew anything about her father's side of the family. All she knew was his name and where he died and that he was part Indian.

I was able to find his family and locate one still remaining 80 year old sister of her father. I also discovered that she had a half sister who had died but that a step-sister was still living. My friend called and talked with both the aunt and the step sister. My friend was able to learn that her father was Cherokee raised in Oklahoma on an Indian Reservation. That he was lazy and all he wanted to do was play guitar--confirmed why her mother had divorced him when my friend was just a year old. But this also allowed her to fill a gap that had existed for all her life. It felt good to know how to research and help her find the other part of her family. Thanks for all your tips. Just thought you would like to know that in addition to helping discover my own roots your training helped me find my friend's roots also.
